Lower Silesian Science Festival is an annual event of popular science is organized by universities and research institutes in Wroclaw. The aim of the festival is to spread and promote science and society closer to problems that it solves. The festival is to convince the public that knowledge is an essential instrument for shaping the region and that the level of knowledge-based society will determine our place in the European Union.

Lower Silesian Science Festival shows young people that scientific work can be an interesting job by demonstrating the working methods, presents young, talented educators as well as the university (in the program there are interactive presentations prepared by PhD students and events organized by young scientists) and talented high school students (scientific marathons and artistic contests) and opens specialist (normally inaccessible) laboratories, giving the possibility to learn about modern scientific, analytical and diagnostic equipment.
