All history lovers and treasue hunters are invited to the biggest popular-science event in the region of Lower Silesia. During the Lower Silesia Festival of Secrets, tourists can take part in many meetings, lectures relating to legends of the Lower Silesia.
The festival is held at Książ Castle, located near Wałbrzych in south-west Poland, on August, 14-16.
The idea of the festival is to give a chance to learn more about Silesian legends and its secret issues which still require extensive research.
This year festival offers a meeting with Jerzy Cera – the author of the book 'Secrets of Owl Mountains', a soldier and a participant of formal studies of Owl Mountains' underground complexes. He will tell visitors about secrets hidden in the region descriped in his book. There will be a possibility to take part in practical training session for the Cichociemni – a paratroops of the Polish Army formed during WWII in the UK.
The main theme of this year festival is 'Gold Train'. The so-called “Szczelina Jeleniogórska”, which is considered to be a mysterious underground passage with German transport will be another topics of debates.
Participants will also discover palace life secrets, get information of masons and partisans, visit museum exhibitions: Exhibition of Oil Lamps, Treasures from the Seabed, Field Hospital.
